Like many women, Claudia knew something wasn’t quite right when she began to experience an unusual pain in her pelvic area and excessive sweating while at work. Later in the night, she ended up in the hospital with emergency surgery, and that is when everything changed.
Claudia underwent surgery and six rounds of chemotherapy, but her scans were still not clear. Shortly after chemo, Claudia’s mother came across The Clearity Foundation and immediately felt that is was a sign. “We felt very strongly about calling…I talked to Deb and she was wonderful. She gave me a lot of information that I would take back to my doctors, and they listened, and I feel like that plays a huge part in why I’m doing so great and adapting to my medication – because of Clearity.”
Now, Claudia spends her time focused on her health, her friends and family, and her upcoming wedding. She is still having scans every three months, but her tumors continue to shrink, and she feels good about the progress that she has made with the support of The Clearity Foundation.
“My journey would have been different without Clearity because they helped me take charge of my health…Right now, I could be searching for the right doctor still, I could have gone through chemo and lost my hair again..I could have been on a completely different path without them.”
