Services Offered
The Clearity Foundation has partnered with CLIA-certified diagnostic labs such as Caris Diagnostics to offer access to immunohistochemical analyses, gene amplification and mutational analysis of tumor samples to provide evidence-based rationale for selection of treatment and clinical trials. The Clearity Foundation may be able to help pay for the tests to be performed if they are not covered by insurance. We request that the patient fill out a Background Information Form and sign our Informed Consent Form. The Clearity Foundation will contact pathology for a formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tumor block and send it to the laboratories for testing.
We have been providing access to tumor blueprints for almost three years. We have established criteria to ensure that the results of the tests are the most relevant for your patient. If she meets the criteria below, please contact us at info@clearityfoundation.org to start the process.
- Your patient has had a recurrence since the first diagnosis and you have either planned another surgery or a biopsy to remove tumor tissue or have already performed another surgery or biopsy to remove tumor tissue during the last year
- Your patient is having a second or third recurrence and a surgical specimen or biopsy taken within the last year.
